1962   SFZ Company founded in VILLEURBANNE (LYON)

1968   SFZ set up in the Industrial Area of CHASSIEU (LYON)
           workshop 3200m²

1970   Beginning of nuclear applications. First steps in a Quality
           Assurance System.

1975   Gradually the hydroforming process replaces
           the mechanical forming for the manufacturing
           of the bellows

1980   SFZ diversifies the markets and gains an important part  
          of the petrochemical, chemical, steelworks and district 
          heating activities.

1981   SFZ passes « accord préalable MINES » certificate to
           design and manufacture expansion joints submitted
           to French regulations.

1986   SFZ is integrated into the IWKA group
          (13.000 employees worldwide)

1987   Certification ASME Stamp U
          Quality Control Manual ASME
          Set up of the Division ZFLEX: Metal Hose Assemblies

1990   Export activities are developing particularly by equipping 
          gas tankers built by Corean ship yards

1991   SFZ Quality Charta

1996   First ISO 9001 (version 1994) certification

2000   First expansion joints designed and manufactured 
           according to the European Pressure Equipment 
           Directive 97/23/CE (PED)

2001   SFZ obtains the conformity declaration for modules E1, H
          and H1 and starts completing its way to realize a complete
          Quality Assurance System for the PED application

2002   IWKA creates a synergy pool called FSG: 
          The Flexible Solutions Group
          Extension of SFZ buidings to 6000 m²

2004   FSG-France is founded, gathering part of the commercial  
          activities of LEBOA, TUBEST and SFZ

2005   The ODEWALD group takes over The Flexible Solutions 
          Group (FSG), of whom SFZ makes part.

2007   Extension of SFZ buildings 9500 m²
           (workshops area is doubled)
           FSG becames BOA Group
